The new design simplifies the space and provides added play opportunities without compromising the original design intent of the previous designer. The existing large timber structure was retained and improved with the addition of a dual slide, fireman’s pole, cubby house/shop front with the addition of a new code compliant perforated screens that enable the children to play safely so close the street frontage but also to retain the views to the Manly coast line.

The existing digging patch was upgraded with new sand, water fountain and the inclusion of a new play boat. Additional play elements included an inground trampoline, teepee play structure & climbing wall. A new synthetic grass layer was included to replace the existing softfall mulch.
